20    DIGGERS REST -- Houdini - Centenary of Australian Flight. Commemorating the centenary of the first officially recorded controlled powered flight by Harry Houdini at Diggers Rest, VIC on 18th March 1910. Celebration at Melton Airfield, VIC from 0900-1700. Flying Displays between 1100-1500. All are welcome to fly-in to this historic event - we would like to see a wide selection of RA-Aus planes joining us! 20-21    VICTORIA -- Hamilton Aero Club Inc. Victoria , 50th Anniversary Fly-in. In conjunction with The Sir Reginald Ansett Transport Museum, The Hamilton Aero Club is celebrating its 50th year. To help celebrate this milestone The Museum based in Hamilton where Reg Ansett started his Aviation Enterprise will be open all weekend. Old clipper buses will be travelling between the airport and the museum. Join us Saturday night for dinner at the Club. 21-27    YARRAWONGA --  The Nav-Ex Squadron will be flying from Yarrawonga to Swan Hill, Wentworth, Murray Bridge , Nhill, Kerang and back to Yarrawonga. This fly-away is open to all types of aircraft, however if you want to join us you will need to get in early as we only have enough room for 45 aircrew. We also need a bus driver for our 22 seat bus. 27-28    MAITLAND -- Fly-in. Maitland Aeroclub (SA) will be holding a fly-in on the weekend of 27 and 28 March 2010. Lunch available for early arrivals Saturday and "Special" Tea on Saturday night with great social atmosphere at Hangar. Accommodation available on request. As always, everyone will have a great time. 2-6    WONGAN HILLS -- ASRA Nationals. The Superlight Aircraft Club of WA Inc is hosting the 2010 Australian Sport Rotorcraft National Fly-in over Easter 2010 at Wongan Hills WA . The basic philosophy is KISS- Keeping It Simple & Safe. Wongan Hills is located 2hrs from Perth in the Wongan-Ballidu Shire. Country location so Aerodrome endorsements not required. Radio is encouraged. Two hours from Perth so people from OS/Eastern states can have easy access. On airfield camping if required, otherwise motels, hotel or farmstays. The airstrip is a 10 minute walk from town and the shire will have a bus operating to help shuttle people to nearby tourist activities for those that get gyro overload in the early days! Five days duration, 2 days Comps (usual stuff) 2 days Nav-ex's to interesting places, i day seminars/rest etc. Good Friday till following Tuesday for the National Fly in. 18    TYABB -- Tyabb 2010 Air Show. At Mornington Peninsula Airport - Stuart Road - Tyabb. It promises to be fun, innovative exciting and very Australian. The theme for the Show will be "A CENTURY OF AUSTRALIAN AVIATION" and just so everybody can get into the mood, it will be held one month after the centenary of the first powered flight in Australia ! Planning is underway to present aircraft from the early days of flight, from the war period, and from the modern era. Aerial acts, ground theatre, re-enactments, stalls, amusements, historic cars & motorcycles, homebuilt aircraft and much more is planned. A number of local charities will benefit from this event. 15-16    BAROSSA -- Barossa Birdmen Fly-in. The Barossa Birdmen fly-in Sat and Sun at Truro Flats Airpark. Can be found in ERSA. Pilots should be aware of restrictions regarding overflying neighbouring properties particularly to the SW of the airfield. 22    WATTS -- Watts Bridge Memorial Airfield Inc. All-in Fly-in. All pilots & aviation enthusiasts are invited to the Watts Bridge Airfield Open Day, celebrating the rich diversity of all forms of recreational aviation. Watts Bridge Airfield, situated in the Brisbane Valley is the home base for a wide range of aircraft including Vintage, Aerobatic and Recreational Aircraft as well as Gyroplanes, War Birds and a variety of Homebuilt Aircraft. 23-29    YARRAWONGA -- Megafauna Flyaway. The Megafauna Flyers will be flying from Yarrawonga, to Condobolin, Nyngan, Cobar, Griffith, and back to Yarrawonga. This fly-away is open to all types of aircraft, however we only have enough room for 50 aircrew, so get in early. We are also looking for a bus driver as well to drive our 22 seat bus. 16-17    DUIGAN -- Duigan Centenary of Flight Committee. Celebrating the centenary of the first aircraft built and flown in Australia on 16/7/1910.
